A fascinating exhibition at the Pathé-Seydoux Foundation, on an amazing side of the art of the cinema posters. At the beginning of the 7th art, one drew his inspiration from the fairytales, a very popular genre on the Parisian and European stages throughout the nineteenth century. Soon, charming and diabolical characters began to populate movies, creating a fantasy that would invade amazing posters...

kings of the dancefloor

The place of warm up, of sexual competition, the dance floor is the reflection of its time, by the unveiling of everyone. For one night, we enter into the dance of a transient and diverse micro-society, in the smoky strobe lighting ... With "Les rois de la piste", Thomas Lebrun offers a lively, loving and funny play. Under the funk airs, the house or electro melodies, we discover a series of madmen featuring characters who seize the dancefloor...

Feminism and digital

Feminism at the time of Web 2.0 has gained legitimacy. Yesterday's ideas still taunted now affect the general public, at the risk of unleashing an ultra-aggressive sexism. The Causette magazine uses this night to take stock of the situation, and consider the prospects of this poor report. Experts will conduct a general conference, followed by a debate with the public.

she past away

Dark wave, goth wave, post punk, no matter the label, She Past Away plays a cool music of martial exuberance at will, minimalist yet rich in connotations, dark and striking atmospheres like The Cure, Joy Division, Clan of Xymox or Grauzone. The sepulchral voice of the singer and guitarist Volkan Caner rises like a ghost on these compositions which are reasonably ideal for headbanger, the words pronounced in Turkish (the band comes from Anatolie) combine to give a unique charm to the group.

Heroes or ordinary citizens, the whistleblower reveals data manipulation, the abuses of surveillance and the appropriation of common goods. Again we are asked about the relationship between free will and obedience, between respect for the law and right to transgression. Rooted in the urgency of what is real, they explore the fiction of another possible world ... La Gaîté Lyrique reflect on the whistleblower, through art and new technologies, around facilities dealing with the whistleblower, as well as a program of shows, performances, meetings, workshops and debates.

jamais contente

On the occasion of the release of the film "Jamais contente", the director Emile Deleuze and the writer Marie Desplechin come to talk about their collaboration at the Duras media library. The feature film tells the story of Aurore, a young teenager apparently without stories. But when you are 13 years old, and we take like her, a frank look full of mockery at boys, school, family or girlfriends, it looks like a joyful psychodrama...

Shoah and the comic strip

Not without prudence, errors and trial and error, but also with brilliance, the Comic Strip could not fail to seize the matter regarding the Shoah. This exhibition explores the comic book representation of the Holocaust, its relevance, its scope and its limits (humor, satire). From comics to Franco-Belgian comics, from graphic novels to mangas, more than 200 works will be exhibited at the Holocaust Memorial, which will also host this Sunday, a meeting on a much deeper issue: why did the superheroes not free Auschwitz?

A vif

"A play that take part in the life of the city". It is with this ambition that Kerry James wrote "À vif", play in which he looks into the meeting between what he considers as "the two France". A deeply committed creation, with his mind focused on the 2017 presidential election. "A vif" is a battle in step with the world: two lawyers clash, voices of "two France" opposing, wealthy and neglected. A passionate agora for a radical political theater.
