Unique gardens in Luxembourg

You may not know, but there is an "Outstanding Gardens" label in France, assigned to gardens of particular historical, aesthetic or botanical interest. This exceptional criterion is at the heart of this beautiful exhibition on the railings of the Luxembourg Gardens: through a selection of images from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, there is a brief history of the visitors' behaviors and practices which constitute the soul of this symbolic place of Parisian life; but also with photos of "gardens of the territories", taken by the talented photographer Jean-Baptiste Leroux.

The mischievous dictation

Yes, believe it or not, a dictation, a Tuesday night is an excellent plan. First, because it happens in a very nice bar, it will be fun, festive, but above all, it will be highly polished ... Two "specialists" of the French language have prepared a beautiful text with several levels of spelling difficulty, as well as some great erotic quotes...

Emel mathlouthi

Symbol of the Tunisian revolts in 2011, the singer Emel Mathlouthi is above all an incredible artist, who plunges "to the depth of her soul and psyche" into her new album which looks much more like electro than traditional song. Percussive rhythms, dark atmosphere and mystical voices: the alchemy of Ensen will thrill the fans of Oum Kalthoum like those of James Blake.

Ciao Italia !

With the Ciao Italia exhibition, the National Museum of the History of Immigration highlights, for the first time on a national scale, the history of Italian immigration to France, which still remains the most Important. Celebrated today, their integration did not however happen without clashes, between discouraging prejudices and caring looks. Between mistrust and desire, violence and passions, rejection and integration, the exhibition reflects these contradictions while highlighting the contribution of Italians to the French society and culture.

History of creole music

A beautiful encounter with Bertrand Dicale, who presents at the Philharmonie his fascinating book "Ni noires, ni blanches: histoire des musiques créoles". He will mention the birth of the concept of the Creole world, and hundreds of original musical genres that have resulted from it. All this music have in common the fact that they are neither African nor European, neither only black nor only white, nor only dominating, nor only oppressed. What unites them above all is their common historical origin: they are creole.

At the centenary of Auguste Rodin's death (see the monumental exhibition currently being held at the Grand Palais), the museum more than ever confirms its programming in connection with contemporary artists and gives carte blanche to Anselm Kiefer. Inaugurating the exhibition hall, the exhibition shows the unique encounter between these two giants, who are free-spirited and freed from all artistic contingencies. Attracted by the debris and giblets directly from the rodinian cement which he mixes with the relics of his own life and with other unexpected materials, Anselm Kiefer produces a series of unpublished showcases.

After the warning, "alcohol abuse is dangerous to human health" (it is clearly said abuse), we can tell you how good Rhum Fest is, as people think, which will take place in the idyllic setting of the Floral Park. This 2017 edition marks a taking off compared to previous years, with more and more limited series and sharp declines offered by producers.
